CiGas took part in the 1st Stakeholder Meeting of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM) Sectorial Task Group on Climate Change and Environment from 16 to 18 September, at the BIPM headquarters in Sèvres – France.
This Task Group has been established to provide a global focal point for metrology activities related to climate change and the environment. Presentations and posters addressed progress on the 128 recommendations or new initiatives since the BIPM-WMO Workshop on Metrology for Climate Action (2022), documented in the workshop report where ACTRIS contributed.
Thérèse Salameh from IMT Nord Europe (CiGas deputy leader) delivered a presentation that highlighted ACTRIS mission, with a specific focus on CiGas developments and activities.
During the three days, from cryosphere monitoring to atmospheric composition measurements, presenters shared cutting-edge research and advancements that unite the metrology and observation communities.
