Short-term forecast of conditions for photovoltaics and wind energy

Systems at KLOCX measures atmospheric conditions (clouds, aerosols, wind) relevant to renewable energies, in particular photovoltaics and wind energy. By analysing selected properties of low-level clouds and their change over time, KLOCX offers precise information on current conditions for renewable energy, provides short-term forecasts of changes in low-level cloud and fog cover, and extends them using satellite data.

The adoption of this innovation offer leads to more efficient operations of renewable energy infrastructures and energy grids planning.
